Why this Resource Hub matters even more right now
A recent article from Boston University School of Public Health highlights something that should concern all of us: nearly 1 in 5 Medicaid-eligible adults in expansion states may be at risk of losing health coverage because of insufficient or inconsistent work hours.
For many of our neighbors, this isn’t about not wanting to work. It’s about real life.
Hours get cut. Schedules change. Transportation falls through. Childcare becomes impossible. Health issues make steady work harder. And when people are already doing their best to keep food on the table, get to appointments, manage medications, and take care of family, one more paperwork requirement can be the thing that causes them to lose coverage.
That matters here in North Philly.
At Patriot Pharmacy, we see every day that health is bigger than prescriptions. Medicaid coverage, access to primary care, transportation, food support, housing help, legal resources, and community programs are all connected. When one piece breaks, it affects everything else.
That’s why we created our Community Resource Hub. It’s not just a list of links — it’s a starting point for neighbors who may need help staying connected to care, benefits, and basic support.
If you or someone you love is worried about health coverage, transportation, food, housing, or where to turn next, start here:
